VSL International (UK) are looking to appoint an experienced Driller to support our project team currently working on HS2, based in West Hyde, Rickmansworth (WD3).

The scope of work is to construct the piled foundations for the viaducts, grouting works, retaining structures for four ventilation shafts, and ground improvement works for the execution of the tunnel cross passages - with a total project value of over £167M.


Key Tasks and Activities :

  • Operating Casagrande C8 Drill on a busy HS2 site
  • Adhere to working instructions as specified internally from engineers, project manager and supervisors.
  • Follow all Health & Safety requirements
  • Provide paperwork, namely, drillers logs, equipment inspection sheets, timesheets on a weekly basis for approval.
  • Maintenance of drilling equipment, small plant and tools
  • Check levels and greasing of the drill rig and associated equipment
  • Set up the machine at the correct position
  • Set up the mast at the correct angle
  • Work with the Drill Rig Helper
  • Control the data logger to ensure recording of the drilling


Essential and Desirable Criteria:

Essential

  • Experience using Casagrande equipment or similar
  • CPCS above 20t
  • CSCS card
