The business development department is tendering on major UK infrastructure projects and is developing its activity following the success of operations such as Hinkley Point C and High Speed 2.
Our clients in the UK have very ambitious targets in terms of BIM and Digital Engineering; their vision is for Digital to enable data driven decision, improve safety, productivity and efficiency, and support collaborative works. To support these target we are looking to recruit a Lead Digital Engineer to take the lead in this technical offer.
Bouygues Travaux Publics has a strong portfolio in the UK demonstrating a wide range of capability in this domain, with landmark projects such as Hinkley Point C and High Speed 2 in the UK, where many digital breakthroughs have been implemented.
Within the technical team, you will be working on offers for various major infrastructure projects in the UK. You will develop the strategy for the Digital part of the offer: BIM, data management, 4D, automated reporting, GIS, connected solutions, predictive analytics, data science, virtual reality etc.
The Lead Digital Engineer will put forward innovative solutions to comply with the Clients’ requirements and go beyond with cutting-edge propositions. You will test new software and solutions and assess their viability. You will be in charge for the preparation of pre-appointment BIM Execution Plans for our offers.
You will manage a small team of Digital Engineers for the preparation of 3D models and the set-up of the digital solutions to coordinate and support the various other disciplines in the bid team to ensure digital tools (methods, Design, pricing, programme, carbon emissions).
Profile :
- Civil Engineering degree
- In depth experience as a BIM manager or equivalent on construction projects
- Strong communication skills
- Computing Skills:
- 3D modelling software
- Revit
- Autocad
- Civil 3D
- Knowledge of other BIM software amongst the following :
- Synchro
- BIMCollab
- SimpleBIM
- Navisworks
- Solibri
- Bimsense
- Dalux
- Programming skills / data management amongst the following:
- SQL
- Python
- PowerQuery
- PowerBI
- Knowledge of ISO 19650 and experience in the writing of BEP
