Bouygues UK has an exciting opportunity available for a Structures Construction Manager/Package Manager to work on the Pentre Awel life sciences, health & wellbeing project in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire.
The first phase of the project is £87M and will be located at the 83-acre Delta Lakes site on the Llanelli coastline. The health & wellbeing village will be made up 5 buildings including sports hall, leisure centre and research building. This is an exciting project where we are placing a strong emphasis on social value, ensuring that local people and businesses can reap the benefits of the scheme.
Job Purpose:
Package Manager for structures ensuring all design information is in place, managing interfaces, lifting plans and associated temporary works.
Accountabilities & Key Tasks:
- To manage a £20M package.
- Managing the design and coordination of the supply chain whilst delivering to programme, quality and cost.
- Plan, organise, control and coordinate the project or section of the project to a satisfactory and safe completion.
- Ensure high standards of health, safety, environmental and quality within the site operations. Delivery of a high value safe project for the client.
- Actively lead by example ensuring that all working relationships are consistent and to the highest standards.
- Ensure that the company gets the best out of its sub-contractors and suppliers, through proper selection and management in conjunction with the project team.
- Ensure that works are not started before Risk Assessments, Task Safety Plans and Method Statements are issued and agreed; issued and communicated by the sub-contractor and to then actively monitor their implementation.
- Provide reports and keep site records / administration as required.
- Implement systems and procedures to ensure total client satisfaction upon completion `Defect Free`.
- Identify solutions to problems and organise activities to deliver these and the required margin.
Criteria:
- Previous main contractor experience
- Experience managing packages of circa £20M
- Interface management experience
- A technical/engineering background, with specific structures experience
