Commissioning Manager (Electrical)

Bouygues Energies & Services Contracting are seeking to appoint Commissioning Manager with an Electrical bias to support our growing Data Centre projects.
We are committed is to provide cutting edge solutions for our clients Data Centre facilities and are recruiting a Commissioning Manager to join our innovative team initially based in Heathrow, with the ability to support wider UK projects. The role will be responsible for ensuring effective test and commissioning of Data Centre processes within set timescales, including quality and health & safety management.
The Role
- Provide strategic and tactical building services commissioning management support for the engineering process of a project from conception to completion
- As an expert, provide guidance and direction to the team to ensure operational excellence
- Requirements Management (able to interrogate Engineering Schedule, Verification & Validation requirements etc)
- Manage the commission process with the verification and operation of electrical plant and equipment. This includes liaising with specialist sub-contractors and Bouygues package managers to follow the specific commissioning process from Level 1 to Level 5
- Review and input the commissioning procedures and commissioning activities
- Monitor and advise when all commissioning documentation has been reviewed and signed off
- Compiling and preparing of commissioning test documentation
- Ensure that work is carried out in full conformance with quality environmental and safety requirements
- Attend site commissioning meetings
- Provide information for Progress Reports
- Assist the Project Manager to prepare an inspection and test plans for each element of the works
The Person
Essential Criteria
- Experience working with a main contractor or large subcontractor and highly technical buildings
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produces accurate work
- Proven people management experience
- Good writing skills with a focus on the drafting of test procedures and test coverage files
- Understanding and implementation of project engineering procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of UK building regulations
- Understanding of UK Health & Safety construction laws
Desirable Criteria:
- Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
- Experience working in data centres
