Axione (part of the Bouygues Group) is currently looking for an experienced Clerk of Works to join our project management team, who are based in Holytown, Motherwell BUT this is a mobile role, covering our current and new projects on the Edinburgh/East side of the 'central belt'

About the job:

This role oversees the quality and safety of work on site, making sure that plans and specifications are being followed correctly.

Responsibilities:

  • Verifying compliance with contractual drawings, specifications, warranty standards and Axione requirements 
  • Identifying defects and suggesting ways to correct them in accordance with Axione QMS 
  • Liaising with the project team, such as contractors, engineers and surveyors 
  • Preparing written reports with supporting photographs
  • Ensure the Company Health and Safety safe working practices are observed at all times and proactively enforce our Near Miss Policy 
  • To operate in a spirit of mutual trust and cooperation with the contractors to ensure we have a collaborative approach to delivering the project to the required quality cost and time scales - Comply with Company Policies and Procedures 
  • To follow the Company's Equalities Policies in relation to other staff, customers and members of the Group, at a level appropriate to the post 
  • In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed above, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by their line manager from time to time, outside the normal sphere of work as may be reasonably requested 

 
The job holder will be required to undertake such flexible and additional working hours as may be necessary, within reason, to facilitate the efficient fulfilment of the duties required by position.
