Bouygues Energies & Services Solutions - Rotherhithe
Bouygues Energies & Services currently has an exciting opportunity for a Mobile Fabric Technician - Carpenter to join our Facilities Management team covering various Academy schools in London, areas include Rotherhithe, Hackney, Islington, Bermondsey etc. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hrs p/week, 8 hours per day between 06:00 and 23:00 (earlies or lates), Monday to Friday.
The role:
- Reporting to the Operations Manager
- To undertake Fabric repairs of the building in line with the PPM schedule ensuring that work is carried out efficiently to contract specification and client satisfaction
- To apply trade skills to carry out scheduled and reactive tasks as needed
- To order materials and services using ordering system and to update records and job sheets to certify satisfactory delivery/completion
- To oversee specialist contractors by escorting round the building and monitoring work
- Working 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day between 06:00 and 23:00, Monday to Friday
The person:
- Must have a City & Guilds or NVQ Level II qualification in carpentry/joinery (or equivalent)
- Desirable to have previous experience of Statutory maintenance - Fire Doors/compartments
- Desirable to have specialism in carpentry, blockwork, bricklaying or other related skill
- Must have good understanding of building care, and experience of painting & decorating and general fabric maintenance
- Must hold current DBS and be able to obtain Enhanced DBS due to working alongside children; SIA security licence also desirable
- Must have good understanding of Health and Safety procedures
- Must hold a clean driving licence as will have use of company van to cover sites across contract
