Bouygues Energies and Services are at the forefront of the Pharmaceutical and Life Science Industry and offer design, build and maintain solutions within the sector.
We are recruiting a Business Development Manager to join our growing business to identify and develop new opportunities within this sector. With the primary aim of meeting client’s need and optimising performance this is a fantastic opportunity to join our highly motivated team.
The role:
• Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers for the ongoing development of new business.
• To build strong trusted relationships with strategic and focus clients.
• To support the agreed strategic target clients and prospects by making business telephone calls, in-person and collaborative visits, along with presentations to increase the profile of the company.
• Secure new business opportunities through strong bid management.
• Take ownership of all elements of the tender response for new opportunities in the production of documents for bids and PQQ submissions within budget to agreed timescales.
• Deliver the bid strategy including solution development, writing bid text, costing and cost model review.
• Produce management reports including documentation bids.
• Be the company representative in the market.
• Manage negotiations and commercial discussions through all stages on the process to commercial close.
• Operate within the governance procedures in respect to bid management including maintaining a risk register.
• To work towards and exceed specific sales targets and KPI’s.
• To maintain internal and external network of contacts to enhance personal and corporate reputation and success.
The person:
• A proven track record of securing profitable pharmaceutical/clean room contracts.
• Proven business development skills, ideally within pharmaceutical market.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to influence an audience.
• Proactive, self-motivated with strong networking ability and contacts within the sector.
• Strong analytical and financial management skills.
• Previous experience in preparing and winning tenders.
