Business Development Analyst

Bouygues Energies & Services is recruiting a Business Development Analyst to support our growth initiatives, based in Didsbury, Manchester.

The Business Development Analyst will work closely with our Strategic Relationship Manager to craft and implement strategies that drive our business forward.  This is not primarily a sales role, but we are looking for someone with strong sales acumen, excellent networking skills with a knack for market research and strategic thinking.  

The Role 

• Conduct thorough research to identify market opportunities, analyse industry trends and assess competitive landscapes.
• Assist the team and Strategic Relationship Manager in developing and executing business strategies aligned to the companies’ growth objectives.
• Assist in the preparation and updating of sector and geographic profiles and hotspots in line with the companies’ expertise.
• Support the team with general business development activities and represent the company at industry events, conferences and networking opportunities.
• Develop and maintain an Event Scheduling Calendar.
• Support business case development for new strategic solutions whilst collaborating with key internal stakeholders.
• Perform regular competitive analysis to inform strategic decisions and maintain a competitive edge.
• Research, identify and monitor the Tender Portals for relevant opportunities, ensuring accurate and up to date company information.
• Maintain the CRM System and business development budget tracker, ensuring all data is current and accurate.
• Be aware of health and safety requirements in all aspects of the role.

What you will need

• Proven experience in a sales, marketing or a project coordination role.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to work well in a client facing role.
• Be innovative and be driven by the desire to improve processes and drive business growth.
• Be project focused and deadline driven.
• Be self motivated with the ability to work autonomously.
• Passionate about the industry and the willingness to progress.
• Familarity with the Life Science, Pharma and Biotechnology industries is advantageous but not essential.
