Business Developer - Construction Sector

Com’in, a new venture born from Bouygues entrepreneurship program has created a new role for a Business Developer. This will give you the opportunity to help to shape the role and its direction. We are seeking to develop our international footprint especially in the UK.
Job Purpose and Scope:
Your role will be to develop our portfolio in the United Kingdom from Bouygues’ office in London.
We build digital Shared Intelligence Solutions, based on IoT and Artificial Intelligence, enabling operation managers in Construction or Industry to better manage their impact on the environment and on the health of neighbouring populations. We favour objective information, and effective liaison and dialogue between stakeholders for a smoother operation.
The solution we have developed has been praised by French thought leaders and Industry publications (Netexplo Change Prize and Trophée de la Construction 2020 awarded by Batiactu Magazine). Our solution has been deployed on the Hallsville Quarter Phase 3 worksite in Canning Town.
Accountabilities and key tasks:
- Identify projects / sites / contracting authorities who would be interested in our solutions.
- Canvass and cold-call prospects with the help of the Paris-based HQ
- Reply to incoming calls, draft, send and support technical and commercial offers, negotiate and close deals.
- Build and nurture relations with the local construction and environment community (thought leaders, decision makers, operational teams).
- Be the main point of contact for technical and commercial relations between clients and HQ (contract evolution, management and resolution of potential malfunctions)
- Pre-sales expertise: expert knowledge of technical specs of our solutions and being able to explain and sell them to clients in your region/portfolio.
- Request and manage with HQ potential marketing investments in order to develop your sales performance (online advertising, specialised press, industry events...)
- The role will involve travel in the UK and occasionally to France.
Who are we looking for:
Essential criteria:
- You are a self-motivated and enthusiastic sales professional proven experience in B2B sales.
- Prior knowledge/interest of the Construction Sector.
- Your skills profile should demonstrate excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills (professional French is a plus).
- You will have very effective Negotiation & Persuasion skills, along with the ability to Collaborate.
- Show your ability to use Business Intelligence in an effective manner.
- Show how you have used Research & Strategy to meet business targets
