Building Fabric Service Manager

Bouygues Energies & Services which is part of Equans has a new opportunity for a skilled Fabric Manager to join 2 jointly run PFI buildings / contracts in Central London near Westminster for our Central Government client.
The post holder will be responsible for the management of the Fabric department, including the reactive and the planned preventative maintenance and all furniture, fixtures/fittings/equipment on the two PFI facilities.
Key Activities:
- Will be reporting to the Operations Manager
- Responsible for the management of the Fabric department, reactive and planned preventative maintenance and all furniture, fixtures/fittings/equipment on the two PFI government contracts
- To be responsible for the management of all workplace change requested by the client
- Manage all associated subcontractors in accordance with company procedures and ensure that
activities comply with client protocols - Manage and maintain compliance of the fire doors & fire strategy compartmentation at both sites
- Will be responsible for the delivery of services to the highest standard, ensuring the effective management of staff, the provision of excellent customer service and compliance with contract, statutory compliance, and company requirements
- Exercise financial and commercial controls in the management of expenditure and income within agreed budgets; to maximise profitability of operations and deliver ongoing cost savings
- Prepare fabric related annual cyclical programmes of work for approval
- Working 40 hours per week from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday
Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold a recognised qualification in a construction related discipline and/or have experience delivering construction/building fabric maintenance, pricing work, delivering minor projects and moves/churn in a similar role
- Will be IT literate and able to write reports and specifications; Maximo experience desirable
- Must be able to demonstrate excellence in building relationships and delivering customer service
- Experience in managing a medium to large group of engineers
- Must be well organised, able to plan effectively and re-plan in the face of changing priorities
- Good financial awareness
- Please note - Employment in this post is dependent upon obtaining security clearance; this requires 5 years’ residency in the UK and a valid passport
