BIM Manager
Bouygues Energies & Services Contracting - Bridgewater
Bouygues E&S Contracting are looking to recruit a BIM Manager to join our Power Generation team at Hinkley Point C.
Duties
• Manage the layout team (Layout & BIM engineer, PDMS administrator and designer) & HF consultant
• Planification of activities/resources in order to meet the manufacturing & construction needs (model and layout deliverables).
• Lead and prepare internal layout reviews.
• Review the deliverables issued internally and by our Sub-contractors (auxiliaries, I&C, GENSETS) and ensure that they meet the technical and quality requirements of the Customer.
• Ensure PDMS and E3D administration is up to date
• Manage 3D data exchange with the Customer.
• Creation and modification of Piping, supports + MDS, steelwork, equipment, components, electrical cable trays according to the input data and drawings provided by the layout lead
• Creation and modification General assemblies, equipment drawings, isometrics, specifications, catalogues and UDAs.
• PDMS custom reports and collection as required from the project (e.g. preparing BOQ for piping / supports manufacturing and construction packages).
• Interface management between piping and equipment and with the supply chain in order to ensure that the layout requirements of the project are effectively met.
• Interface management with the Customer in order to ensure that the layout requirements are met – including de-conflicting volume box clashes at constructability reviews.
• To supervise the Human Factors consultant to ensure delivery of the Human factor scope and reduce HF/CDM risks.
• Follow up layout changes.
Essential Requirements

• Degree in Engineering discipline• Understanding of Document Control procedures
• Experience in 3D software (PDMS- E3D / Navis works)
• Experience in PDMS administration
• Experience in team / consultant management
• Understanding of Information System
• Knowledge of general installation (incl pipework, electricity, civil engineering)
• Knowledge of layout
• Ability to Read and Write English to a technical standard
• Ability to Speak and Understand spoken English to a technical standard
• Knowledge of CDM
• Nuclear Safety Culture
