Bid Coordinator

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Bid Coordinator to join our Highways & Local Government business development team on a permanent basis. The position will be based in our Middlesbrough office, with the opportunity to work remotely on occasion too.
The Bid Coordinator will support the Business Development team in the creation and preparation of bids and proposals, including Expressions of Interest, Statements of Qualifications and Capability, Pre-Qualification Questionnaires and Tenders, and Fee Proposals.
The Bid Coordinator will also take ownership of all incoming enquiries and notices. They will be responsible for the maintenance of all bid documentation and systems necessary to support the business development team along with fulfilling general administrative duties.
The role:
- The Bid Co-ordinator will construct, co-ordinate and edit information that is required to put persuasive and effective bid documentation together to produce high quality bids. They will also be responsible for the maintenance of all bid documentation and systems necessary to support the Business Development team and fulfil general administrative duties.
- Ensure all submissions produced are aligned with corporate brand guidelines and Company bid management standards.
- Accountable for the management of the production of documents for Bid & PQQ submissions including liaison with Bid Managers.
- Organise bid submission reviews.
- Maintain excellent internal relationships, understanding who to go to in order to gather relevant information and ensuring that good relations are kept with key individuals.
- Liaise where necessary with Bouygues UK/Consortium on requirements for Bid submission text.
- Provide expertise to the Business Development team in production of presentation/publicity material.
- Implement, review and update Bid submission programmes and a quality system for Bid and PQQ production.
The person will have:
- Strong attention to detail; maintaining high standards for delivery, quality and accuracy.
- Demonstrable use of written and verbal English to contribute to the writing of complex bids in the infrastructure and utility sectors; Street Lighting, Highways, Communications, Power Distribution/Supply, Renewable Energies.
- Experienced in the design and development of bid templates (in adherence to corporate guidelines) to ensure the production of professional customer satisfaction submissions in a consistent manner across all sectors.
- Excellent organisational skills with a disciplined approach to the structured planning and bringing together of bids with a high attention to detail.
- Proven track record in the building of successful solutions and the definitions of critical win themes.
- High level of competency in Microsoft Office Suite and Visio along with desktop publishing software and the Adobe Suite.
