VSL International (UK) are looking to appoint an Assistant Site Administrator to support our project team currently working on HS2, based in West Hyde, Rickmansworth (WD3).

Please note this role requires applicants who are fluent in English and Spanish.

Also, due to the location of the site and access restrictions, your own transport is required. Public transport is not available anywhere near the site.


The scope of work on the project is to construct the piled foundations for the viaducts, grouting works, retaining structures for four ventilation shafts, and ground improvement works for the execution of the tunnel cross passages - with a total project value of over £167M, and a duration of 2+ years.


Job Purpose and Scope:

To be first contact for all site visitors and to provide administrative support to the Project Team.


Key Tasks and Activities:
 

  • Admin assistance to the Team Administrator and Project Director
  • Setting up inductions and ensuring all qualifications are in order
  • Booking site inductions
  • Booking travel (flights, trains, hotel etc.,)
  • Assisting with administrative duties such as printing, binding, ordering stationery and similar
  • Booking couriers if needed
  • Respond to daily emails as soon as possible
  • Ensure that the office policies are implemented and adhered to
  • Raise PO’s on Pablo for orders.
  • Meet and greet visitors to the office
  • Booking meeting rooms


Essential and Desirable Criteria:

Essential: 

  • High level of spoken and written Spanish & English
  • Administration experience
  • Proactive
  • Able to work along or in a team
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent MS office skills (Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Outlook)
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload according to demanding deadlines
  • Act on own initiative
  • Flexibility

Desirable: 

  • Experience in construction sector
  • Local to site
  • Own car
