Bouygues Energies & Services HPC team has an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Document Controller/QA Administrator to be based from our Bristol office.

We have been awarded a Turn-key EPC contract for the Hinkley Point C new build nuclear power plant Emergency Diesel Generators (EDG). This role will provide administrative support to the team including tasks such as:

  • Document control assistance
  • Editorial review of technical documents
  • Quality Assurance administrative tasks

The role:

  • Provide a professional, accurate and reliable document control support to the Project
  • Assist in the migration of documentation and data from the network drives into the designated electronic document management system (EDRMS)
  • Assist to expedite reviews, comments and responses of documentation and correspondence from Contractors and third parties to support the achievement of the project timeline
  • Assist in the maintenance of a computer database (List Of Deliverables-LOD) of all filed documentation
  • Convert an excel file (LOD) into an Access database
  • Follow up and update excel trackers (technical documentation)
  • Create and produce KPIs
  • Perform review of documentation to ensure they meet the editorial documentation requirements (format, spelling and grammatical errors)
  • Provide administrative support to the Quality department including set up and maintenance of Excel/Access trackers and databases
  • To fulfil specified and implied occupational Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans
  • To comply with the Company’s Policies, Management Plans and Procedures
  • To undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required within the Department / Service

What you`ll need:

  • Strong IT software skills (MS Office)
  • Good written English and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivation
  • An interest in working in a construction/engineering environment
  • Previous document control knowledge would be an advantage but not essential
