Bouygues UK have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Management Assistant (it's a great opportunity to learn SAP) to work as part of one of our professional Finance teams. The role is being offered on a Fixed Term Contract until August 2023, however there is the possibility of a permanent role with the company at the end of the project.  You will be supporting an exciting project which will provide student accommodation for the University of Essex located in Colchester. We are in the third phase of student accommodation schemes valued at £168 million including construction, development and facility management.

Job Purpose and Scope

Ensure financial position of departments/projects is clear and accurate by calculating, documenting and maintaining the appropriate financial information and tools

Essential

  • Experience in a financial reporting (SAP knowledge would be advantageous)
  • You should have evidence of a strong numerate background,  which may include a degree in a Finance/Mathematical degree or studying to ACCA level 1 or CIMA
  • Excel at an intermediate knowledge
  • Working to deadlines and prioritising
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem solving attitude·

Accountabilities

·      Core process keeper and trainer

·       Produce finance reports and deadlines

·       Reporting to line management

Key Tasks and Activities

You will be involved in preparing monthly financial management reports with analysis & do monthly closure of department/project accounts.  Assisting  with preparation of quarterly and annual budget models for departments/projects. You will also manage day to day tasks and monthly reporting timetable. Provide project management support to managers including reporting, maintaining system tools and budgets. Administer timesheet software and recharges. Follow up and support procurement and sub-contractor processes plus training. You will also be involved in Financial analysis reporting and other ad-hoc reporting as required.
